Customer Benefits

Internap colocation solutions allow customers to focus on their core competencies and business objectives, and spend less time on operational issues such as managing data center infrastructure. Tier1 estimates that the cost of building a data center runs between $1,000 per square foot to $1,800 per square foot, depending on power density and the degree of equipment redundancy.* Building a data center is complicated and time consuming. When one considers pre-work components such as financing, land acquisition and permitting, a data center can take up to 24 months to construct. In addition, the cost and ongoing resources required to maintain and secure a data center must be considered.
