SoftLayer Signs 5-Year $40 Million Contract with Internap to Expand On-demand Hosting Platform Across the United States

Two industry leaders work together to enable businesses to operate “serverless IT departments” through real-time technology, network-within-the-network services and automated installation, monitoring and management tools

ATLANTA, GA and DALLAS, TX – (March 6, 2008) – Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP) (“Internap”), a global provider of end-to-end Internet business solutions and SoftLayer Technologies, Inc. (“Softlayer”), a rapidly growing and innovative supplier of on-demand hosting services, announced the signing of a 5-year $40 million contract under which Internap will deliver data center colocation, route-optimized IP networking and content delivery network (CDN) services. These Internap services will expand SoftLayer’s on-demand hosting infrastructure to the Eastern United States and be seamlessly integrated with SoftLayer’s data centers in Dallas and Seattle. Reflecting SoftLayer’s success in the marketplace, this new agreement is in addition to the 5-year $16 million contract announced by the two companies on November 13, 2007 (http://www.internap.com/about/newsroom/page2983.html).

Additionally, Softlayer’s IP network connectivity, automated load balancing, server recovery, and storage and backup solutions provide customers the confidence that applications, data and content will be available to drive business operations.

“SoftLayer and Internap have rapidly and successfully deployed a powerful, on-demand hosting infrastructure to support enterprise applications, rich media and online business,” said James P. DeBlasio, chief executive officer at Internap. “The demand for these services has been very strong and is driving us to expand the model across the United States leveraging Internap’s network and data center solutions and SoftLayer’s innovative Web hosting products, exceptional service delivery and automated operations. Together, we will be able to deliver a robust set of enterprise-class IT solutions to a broader marketplace than ever before.”
