Network-Based Service: Performance IP

Overview

From e-commerce and online trading to video conferencing and customer relationship management (CRM), the Internet has become the avenue for a broad array of business-critical applications. Today’s businesses require solutions that ensure optimal delivery of applications by improving network performance and traffic control. With the Internap® Performance IP™ service, companies can now have a stable, predictable, high-performance Internet solution.

Features
  • Redundant, high-speed connections to all major Internet backbones, offering unmatched, predictable reliability and proven performance
  • Guaranteed 100 percent operational uptime, and the lowest packet loss and latency in the industry, which covers the entire Internet – not just one single network
  • Our patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer™ (MIRO) technology, dynamically identifies the optimal path for your Internet applications, ensuring operational continuity by routing around network congestion, poor performing links or disabled providers without the need for manual intervention. MIRO intelligently considers path characteristics like latency, packet loss and route stability when making routing decisions.
  • Unlike our competitors, we believe so strongly in the consistent performance of our network that we offer proactive Service Level Agreement (SLA) notification and automatic bill credits if we ever break our SLAs.
  • World-class, 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) with direct access to certified network engineers who have a global view of the Internet and are able to resolve your issues quickly and effectively, and to your complete satisfaction. Direct access to our expert technical staff is only part of the Internap advantage; you also save money by minimizing troubleshooting and downtime.
Benefits
  • Operational continuity for your applications
  • Increased revenue opportunities enabled by a seamless customer Internet experience
  • Reduced internal costs associated with network management
  • Freedom from managing connectivity complexity and Network Service Provider (NSP) relationships
  • Save money by minimizing troubleshooting and downtime

With Performance IP, you can take advantage of the convenience, flexibility and reach of the unique Internap Internet network backbone, seamlessly connecting to customers, suppliers, employees and business partners. By routing over redundant, high-speed connections to all major Internet backbones, this service provides highly reliable robust delivery of your content, applications and communications throughout the Internet.

Performance IP

Using our patented technology and the existing Internet network infrastructure, Internap created an innovative way to route data and avoid the Internet’s points of congestion. Rather than relying on access to a single Internet Service Provider (ISP). Performance IP intelligently routes across major Internet backbones via the Internap Private Network Access Point (P-NAP®) facilities. This insulates your traffic from the risk of network outages, providing reliable, stable and consistent connectivity.

Guaranteed North American performance metrics include:

  • 100% network availability
  • Less than 45 milliseconds latency
  • Less than 0.3% packet loss
  • Less than 0.5 millisecond jitter
