Managed Server Hosting
Because we understand that every application can have different infrastructure requirements, Internap offers a range of managed server solutions from standardized, horizontally-scalable systems to more tailored, managed server architectures.
All managed servers can be deployed with dedicated and redundant switching fabrics available in 1GigE/10GigE or Fiber Channel, diverse uplinks to Internap’s private network access point (P-NAP) border routers and extensive out-of-band management and monitoring capabilities. Internap’s hosting engineering team designs network topologies to meet the requirements of each managed server environment, including support for critical non-server devices such as dedicated storage arrays, enterprise storage area networks (SANs), hardware-based firewalls and scalable load balancers.
Internap configures servers to the operating system level, including Windows, Linux and VMware. All hardware, network and OS level configuration and troubleshooting is performed by Internap’s global hosting support team and is guaranteed by a robust service level agreement.

Internap’s managed servers are flexible, can be tailored to meet most enterprise hosting solution designs and are broken into three primary configurations depending on the use case:
Base servers – R320 single processor Base server is ideal for web, email, SAN proxy, DHCP server, video streaming, security and file/print services.
Standard dual processor servers – support up to 16 cores and are ideal for processor-hungry application workloads or as base virtualization hosts. The Standard server can support up to 24TB of internal storage and optional solid-state drives and is ideal for high IO storage workloads, including database systems that require fast, dense and highly-available local disk configurations paired with powerful processor and memory configurations.
Advanced servers – support four processors and offer unbeatable compute and RAM density of up to 1.5TB. Based on the PowerEdge R820, the server platform makes an ideal platform for High Performance Computing (HPC) or dense server/desktop virtualization deployments that can consume vast amounts of server resources.
