Global Investment Information Company Harnesses Internap’s CDN and Enhanced Studio Offerings to Extend New Services to its Customers

ATLANTA, May 12, 2009 — Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a provider of the only MIRO1 route-optimized Content Delivery Network (CDN), announced today at Streaming Media East that Weiss Research is the first large-scale customer using Internap Studio — Internap’s newest addition to its CDN ecosystem — for faster, easier preparation of video for its website (MoneyandMarkets.com).

As Weiss customers began using more video content, the company’s need for a flexible digital asset management tool became equally critical. Internap Studio provides Weiss with an easy-to-use tool for designing, deploying and managing its most timely video content. Studio provides tools for uploading, organizing, reviewing, distributing and publishing video so that it can be properly displayed in a player as well as via RSS and XML.

“In today’s global economic crisis, we find users are more interested in taking control of information gathering about their investments. Weiss videos have been growing in popularity. They seem to help create a personal bond between Weiss and our subscribers,” said Weiss Director of Marketing Jennifer Amos. “Studio allows viewers to take control of their viewing experience. They are now able to self-select the content most suited to their investment needs.”

“Internap worked with Weiss Research to assure we are keeping up with the public’s added interest in our video content. With Studio, they have demonstrated their commitment to helping us turn projects around faster — which means we are able to provide fresher, timelier content. In a complex financial services market, this will continue to be a high priority for Weiss Research,” Amos said.

“Internap Studio gives Weiss a cost-effective, easy-to-use tool that meets the challenges of the fast-paced, financial services information business,” said Internap Chief Technology Officer, Tim Sullivan. “Internap Studio’s features and functionality are fully integrated with the Internap CDN. As more companies turn to Internet video to reach their customers, timeliness is imperative. Internap Studio now offers an even faster way to increase the volume of content users want to deploy.”

In addition to Studio, Internap offers a variety of products and services to help customers analyze what is happening with their content within the Cloud environment. With a global platform of data centers, managed Internet IP services and a CDN, Internap frees its customers to innovate, improve service levels, and lower the cost of IT operations.

1Internap’s patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) technology monitors the performance of each Internet backbone, routing traffic across the best path to provide faster and more reliable content and data delivery than traditional routing methods. The Internap route-control technology considers path characteristics like latency, packet loss, route stability and congestion when making routing decisions. This technology continually analyzes the traffic situation on every major Internet backbone and decisions are made dynamically and automatically to account for network performance changes, without the need for manual intervention.

Advanced analytics are used to probe and benchmark all known points on the Internet through each bandwidth carrier and continuously adjust the routes that the content uses to reach the end-user.
